7月30日，開始了一週的長壽修持法會，這些修法乃楚布辦公室(Tsurphu Labrang)向薩迦法王請求，由薩迦法王特別建議為大寶法王噶瑪巴的長壽和除障而修之法。

7月20~27日，法王噶瑪巴和上密院僧眾舉行惹那林巴(Ratna Lingpa)除障修法，包括於7月26日 的燒食子。

7月6日，法王噶瑪巴參加尊貴的達賴喇嘛七十歲生日慶典。約有上千名虔誠信眾來自世界各地聚集於達蘭沙拉共同慶祝此一殊勝慶典。

His Holiness the Dalai Lama celebrated his 70th Birthday on July 6, 2005. His Holiness the Gyalwang Karmapa attended the ceremonies, joining with others in prayers for longetivity of His Holiness, offerings of mandalas and celebrations of the accomplishments of the Dalai Lama.
