『达赖基金会课程』如何開展悲心•第二天下午

在下午的開示中,法王給予了四臂觀音「遍利眾生修法」(All-Pervading Benefit of Beings)的口傳,此儀軌為第十五世紀的西藏大師唐東嘉波(Thangtong Gyalpo)所撰。
In the afternoon, Gyalwang Karmapa gave an oral transmission of the Chenrezig practice known as All-Pervading Benefit of Beings, composed by the fifteenth century Tibetan master Thangtong Gyalpo.

法王解釋道,他自小成長於一個充盈著四臂觀音修持的環境。尤其是他的外婆與母親,兩位都是非常虔誠的四臂觀音修持者,經常唸誦四臂觀音的咒語(Bamboo注:六字大明咒)。
His Holiness explained that he was raised in an environment saturated with the practice of Chenrezig. In particular, his maternal grandmother and his mother had both been deeply devoted to the practice of Chenrezig and frequently chanted his mantra.

法王覺得,成長於一個四臂觀音咒音圍繞的環境,在他心中留下了很重要的烙印。有些父母遺留給子女的是物質上的資產,但法王離家太早,以至於無法繼承家中的財產。相反地,法王覺得他自己所繼承的家產———以他的個例而言是來自母系的家產,那即是四臂觀音的修持。
His Holiness felt that growing up surrounded by the sound of Chenrezig’s mantra had left important imprints on him. Some parents bequeath material wealth to their children, but His Holiness left home too early to inherit his family’s wealth. Rather, what he himself had received as his patrimony—or, in his case as a sort of maternal inheritance, he said—was the practice of Chenrezig.
